The main reason Springsteen’s new album is going to be a good one is because, just like in the 70’s and 80’s, he’s taken the general pulse of the land and the complex perceptions of now, and distilled that into grand songs about where people are at, which, for listeners, immediately rings true. He has always known the meaning of ‘truth’.
